Marching Band uniform
care & information
for students and parents.
1. Never eat in the uniform.
No exceptions.
2. Wear light weight shorts (like gym shorts)
under the uniform pants. No twill. No denim.
3. Girls can wear a sport bra or a tank top
under the band t-shirt. The marching band changes into and
out of their uniforms in the same area. Privacy
is not available.
4. A black band uniform t-shirt will be issued
to each band member before each field show.
The t-shirt is to be left with the
uniform mom so it can be washed for the next performance.
5. Band shoes, black socks and gloves are to be
brought to each field show; this is the student's
responsibility. Gloves and a few extra clean
pairs of black socks may be left in the student's
uniform bag; always take dirty socks home.
6. Write your name in your band shoes
with a silver Sharpie pen. Put name on inside wall or tongue of shoe.
Uniform moms will have Sharpies
available for your student to use.
7. One pair of black gloves will be provided to
each band member at the beginning of marching season
and they are to be worn for all
competitions and football games. If you lose your gloves, the price to
purchase a replacement pair of gloves will be $2.00.

hang their uniform properly and put it back on

shako (hat) in their box which is labeled with their name. Before
games or competitions, a gloved uniform mom will attach
a plume to the shako. After the game or
competition, the student will find a gloved uniform mom
to have their plume removed and stored. The
student will then put his/her shako back in their
specific shako box and leave in the correct area for loading.

student will need to call Denise Turley to let her know about the loss. and
purchase a new t-shirt form her.
11. If a glove or a pair of gloves are lost or forgotten for a half-time
show or competition, the student will
need to talk with Denise Turley at school
or on-site. Denise will give your student another pair of
gloves, with their understanding that
he/she is required to pay Denise $2.00 before the end of the following week.
Denise will keep a record regarding lost
items that need to be purchased and replaced by your student.
