2011 Winterguard

The show theme this year is "TBD" with music from The Muppet Movie.  Talk about a FUN show!  The guard will be competing in the WGASC circuit as a Regional A class group.  You can learn more about WGASC at their web site at www.wgasc.org.  Uniforms are being put together with an attempt at keeping the costs under $100.00.  Portions of the Marching Season guard uniform may be used.

For those new to this activity, the winterguard show is performed indoors, using a large vinyl floor, props and the usual compliment of flags, rifles and sabers.  Guard members will arrive at the competition site early, perform their warm-ups and be escorted to the gym by a competition host for their performance.

Any questions or concerns, please contact the guard instructor, Melody Zellinger OR Mr. Miller (714-663-6060, misterjmiller@gmail.com).

Rehearsal Schedule

Rehearsals are Wednesday's and Friday's from 4:00 pm to 6:00pm.  The Colorguard instructor will be at the school during zero period on Tuesday's, Wednesday's and Friday's.  Monday's and Thursday's the guard is expected to rehearse without the instructor present.

Competition Information

Student transportation for competitions is done by private vehicle.  Parents are needed and a "Private use of Vehicle" form must be on file in the front office for any parent transporting students.  Meals for competitions will be purchased and provided to the students from a local establishment.  This will require that each person (parents are welcome to eat with the students) pay $7.00 for each competition.
