IMPORTANT SAT INFORMATION

Students planning to take the SAT this year should avoid scheduling their test during the month of November. 

The November dates conflict with our competition schedule.  There are plenty of other dates to choose from.  The October and December dates do not present a problem.  It is not possible to sit for the SAT and make it to the competition.  Students are expected to attend every competition.  If you have any questions, please contact Mr. Miller ASAP!

Band packets are due!!

Band packets were handed out during Bandcamp. If you have not returned them, please do so. This is vital information we and Mr. Miller need. If you have any questions please contact Maria Burciaga.

2010-2011 Football Schedule

Call time for all home games is 6:00 pm at the field unless otherwise noted.  All home games are at Bolsa Grande unless otherwise noted.

Football Games & Competition Schedule

Football Games:

Students are expected to provide their own transportation to and from all Home Football games.  Call time is 6:00 pm.  Students will arrive at the school in shorts and an appropriate t-shirt, unload the instrument trailers and dress in their uniforms.  Marching members will perform a short warm up and then be on the field for the star spangled banner.  Pit members will set up for warm ups during this time.  All students are expected to stay for the entire game.  They will change out of their uniforms after the game and then load the equipment trailer.  Students must check with Mr. Miller before leaving the stadium.

Competitions:

The competitions are held on Saturday's and often fall on a Saturday after a Friday home football game.  Due to the size of the program, Pacifica usually performs early.  Students will be expected to arrive at the school on competition morning and will be transported by bus to the competition site.  The specific schedule for that day is published once the Pacifica performance time is published by the competition organizer.  The buses will return to the school after the performance is completed but prior to the awards ceremony.  Those who wish to stay for awards must turn in a signed permission slip to Mr. Miller prior to leaving Pacifica that morning.  The permission slip will be distributed with the schedule and is different for each competition.

Students are required to participate in all home football games and competitions for the entire Marching Band season.  Any absences must be cleared with Mr. Miller.  A pep band will travel to away games.  Participation in the pep band is encouraged but optional.
